What are the check-in or check-out times?

The accommodation unit may be occupied from 15:00 on the first day of the contracted period. 


 


The accommodation unit must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day on which the period ends. The establishment shall assume the customer’s stay to have been extended by one day if they have not vacated the accommodation by the indicated deadline. 

Does the hotel offer late check out?

Guests need to check out by 12 noon on the day of their departure. However, depending on room availability, you’ll be able to extend your check-out time to 18:00 at the latest. An additional charge applies for this service: COP $500,000 in low season, COP $600,000 in mid-season and COP $800.000 in high season. Full information is available at reception.

We would like to remind you that, in accordance with Columbian regulations, as laid out in  Law 1335 of 2009, smoking is not allowed in enclosed areas within workplaces and/or public places such as: Bars, restaurants, shopping centres, shops, fairs, festivals, parks, stadiums, cafes, discos, cybercafes, hotels, fairs, pubs, casinos, communal zones and waiting areas, where large numbers of people gather.

The climate is tropical, and throughout the year temperatures generally range between 26 °C and 30 °C, rarely falling below 25 °C, or rising above 31 °C. 

Which clothes should I bring with me?

We advise packing clothes suitable for a hot climate. Don’t forget your swimwear, and a light jacket for the evenings.

What type of sun cream do you recommend?

The protection factor depends on your skin type. With current levels of solar radiation, we recommend Factor 20 to Factor 50, in particular for children. We recommend you avoid the sun between 13:00 and 16:00. 

What is the currency of Columbia?

The official currency is the Colombian peso.

What is the official language?

The official language in Columbia is Spanish (Castilian) but English is understood and  spoken in the San Andrés area and at the hotel. 

Can I exchange currency in the hotel or withdraw money?

No, we don’t provide a currency exchange service at the hotel. You’ll find bureaux de change at the airports and in the centre of San Andrés City. 

Is there a supermarket near the hotel?

There are supermarkets nearby. The nearest shopping area is a 5-minute walk from the hotel. 

How much is the tourist tax payable for entry to San Andrés, and how do I pay it?

The tourist tax is COP $120.000 for travellers above the age of seven, and if it hasn’t  already been included in the price of your plane ticket, you’ll be able to pay it either at  Bogotá Airport when you fly out, or at the airport in San Andrés when you arrive on the island. 

Are swim nappies available at the hotel shop?

You’ll find swim nappies in the supermarkets nearby. The nearest shopping area is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. 

Is the tap water safe for drinking?

No, the tap water is not safe for drinking as it can harm your health. You can drink the drinking water in bars, restaurants or in the minibar in your room. 

 Do you need to be vaccinated before travelling?

It’s not necessary to be vaccinated before travelling to San Andrés but we recommend you visit a doctor beforehand to check your existing vaccination status. 

Is there a medical centre in the hotel?

No, but Clarence Lynd Newball Memorial Hospital, the nearest hospital, is just 3km from the hotel. Both services incur a supplementary cost. 

Do you take the precautions necessary for people with allergies?

Yes, we work in accordance with all the health authority’s recommendations as well as those of the quality inspectors. 

Is access to the Spa free of charge or do I need to pay?

There is an additional charge for spa access that depends on the service you’d like to use. There is a supplementary charge for the steam area, massages, treatments and body wraps. 

Do you offer special meals for vegetarians?

Although we don’t offer a special vegetarian menu, we do offer a variety of salads and other meals suitable for vegetarians.

There are low calorie options on the menu at all of the hotel’s restaurants.

We have gluten-free food at the hotel that can be prepared for the main buffet restaurant as long as our customers request this in advance. At our themed restaurants, we provide information about which meals on the menu are gluten-free. 

Do you offer special meals for diabetics?

We offer special meals for diabetics. Please inform our Reception or restaurant team when you arrive at the hotel. The menu can be adapted in response to customer needs. 

Is there a dress code for the hotel restaurants?

Yes, we have a dress code: 

  • Buffet Restaurant: Swimming costumes and bare chests are not permitted in the buffet restaurant. 

 

  • Themed restaurants: guests may wear formal shorts in the themed restaurants. You will not be allowed to enter the themed restaurants wearing a sleeveless shirt or swimming costume. 


We recommend you dress more formally at dinnertime. 

Does the hotel offer a picnic service instead of lunch or dinner?

The hotel offers a 24 hour all-inclusive service, outside of the buffet restaurant opening times. Snacks, water, soft drinks and beer are on offer 24 hours a day.

Yes, all public areas of the hotel (reception, terrace, restaurants and bars, etc.), as well as 4 rooms have been adapted for those with reduced mobility. 

 Is the lift also accessible for people with reduced mobility?

Yes, the lift doors are 80cm wide. The interior dimensions are 130cm (width) by 106 m (depth). The handrail is positioned at a height of 90cm. 

Do you need to use the lift to reach the adapted rooms?

The adapted rooms are located on accessible floors but you do need to use the lift.

How is the bathroom laid out in the accessible rooms?

The bathroom in our accessible rooms has a shower with a slip-resistant, threshold-free floor. The vertical grab bar is located at a height of 70cm to 117cm. 

Is there obstacle-free access to the pool?

Yes, but you must use the lift to get to it as it is on the third floor.

Is there obstacle-free access to the beach?

No, you’ll have to cross a road to reach the beach.

What should I do if I want to cancel my booking directly?

If you want to cancel a booking made on www.sirenishotels.com, you can do this on the MY BOOKINGS page of our website. You should include the email address you used to  complete the booking and your tracking number.  If you want additional help with your reservation you can contact us by email at  reservas.co@sirenishotels.com 

How can I change my booking?

If you want to change your original booking and this is permitted by your chosen rate, follow these steps: 


1. Firstly, make a new booking at the hotel for the dates you want. Please, bear in mind  that the rates and booking conditions shown on the website are subject to change at any time, which is why the cost of the new booking could be different from the original booking. Please, bear in mind that room availability is limited. 


2. Once you’ve received the confirmation email for the new booking with a booking code and a copy of the receipt, you should cancel the original booking, from the MY BOOKINGS page you’ll find from the home page. 


3. Please make sure that the new booking is made correctly before cancelling the original,  so that your accommodation is guaranteed. The booking is confirmed when a booking  code is created and a confirmation email is received showing the booking code.
