Say goodbye to the summer in Ibiza in the best way

Sept. 9, 2019, 3:07 p.m.

September and October mark the end of the summer season in Ibiza. But they're just as exciting as the summer months. There are some great things to enjoy on the island in this period. Many people are already in the know and have preferred to book their holidays for the so-called shoulder season, when there are a host of activities to experience.

And you'll never be disappointed! You can enjoy the beach and outdoor activities with much more comfort and without excessive stress. What's more, there's a host of fascinating events which attract an incredibly diverse audience. And if that wasn't enough, this is the season of closing parties at the island's top clubs.

As you can see, the benefits are aplenty. In September and October, there are less crowds and it's much easier to visit the iconic places that everyone wants to see. We're talking about beaches such as Ses Salines or Benirrás, which can be reached without traffic restrictions and where the sunset is much more chilled. The same as in Cala Salada, which now has unlimited vehicle access, as well as a host of stunning areas that are easy to get to. The most sought-after restaurants have more tables available to attend to the most heartened foodies, the beach clubs are quieter, and you can explore spectacular landscapes almost on your own.

On top of all this, there's a diverse calendar of events on offer. We've definitely got something that you'll love, so just read on...

The Ibiza Jazz Festival takes place in early September, attracting some outstanding jazz performers who'll guarantee sensational evenings of outdoor music in the heart of Ibiza Town's walled old quarter. An extraordinary event that has been going on for thirty-one years now and has many a fan. And it's also a great excuse for a getaway to the island.

Meanwhile, October is a fabulous month for sports lovers. Because apart from being able to enjoy your favourite sport in enviable weather conditions and in a privileged environment, you'll find major events such as the Ibiza Campagnolo cycling race. This is the only stage-based tour in Spain and perfectly combines pure cycling with small doses of competition. And it's a great way to explore the most picturesque places on the island, such as Sant Agustí, Sant Josep, Sant Antoni, Cala Molí, Cala Vedella, Ibiza Town, Sant Joan, Sant Miquel, Sa Cala, Port de Sant Miquel, etc. A truly unforgettable experience that breaks records in each edition.

And the cherry on the cake for clubbers are the closing parties of the island's top clubs. Huge parties that bring together the best of the international music scene and at which each club lays on the best of the best for a final adios (until next year, of course).

When it comes to the end of October, the Sirenis Hotels & Resorts properties in Ibiza close their doors and start preparing for next year. Stay tuned to our website to find out all the news!
