What is the Home for the Elderly?
Oasis de los Ancianos Desamparados A.C. was created to provide comprehensive, dignified service to needy elderly people who have been abandoned and/or who are in a situation of helplessness. The Home, run by the Fundación Ciudad de la Alegría A.C. foundation, offers accommodation, food, clothing and specialised medical attention. It has areas for occupational and physical therapy, and for carrying out recreational activities with groups of children, young people and volunteers who visit the residents to provide them with company and care, making them feel at home.
