At the far west of Ibiza, we find Sant Antoni de Portmany. It is one of the main tourist areas of the island, which has over the years become more renowned for tourism. It is one of the places in Ibiza where the most beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed, and its coast is full of small, easily accessed coves and beaches with crystal clear turquoise waters, making it the ideal location for a comfortable and charming holiday without needing to leave the municipality. The range of gastronomy of this small Ibizan town is not lacking, with all kinds of restaurants of world cuisines, as well as key places for sampling authentic Ibizan cuisine. All kinds of leisure are available, with some of the most renowned clubs on the island and magnificent places for enjoying the Mediterranean sunset with a nice cocktail.
In Sant Antoni de Portmany, the sea is always present with its impressive bay. Given its location, characteristics and climate conditions, it is an ideal place for practicing any watersport. Near the port and along the seafront promenade there are several diving centres, sailing schools and boat hire companies, excursions and water activities. Additionally, the most incredible places on the coast of Sant Antoni can be reached. The Seafront Promenade is a point of departure for ferries which visit the different beaches of Ibiza each day, such as Cala Salada, Port des Torrent, Cala Conta and Cala Bassa, and for spending a fabulous day on the island of Formentera.
However, although the most renowned feature is the Bay of Sant Antoni, the municipality is also formed by the towns of Sant Rafel, declared an “Area of Interest for Handicrafts”; Sant Mateu, renowned for its wine production; and Santa Inés, with a unique valley filled with almond trees.
